Lauer on Cape Cod League, Scout Day
After posting "video game statistics" in the Cape Cod League this summer (according to D1Baseball), Eric Lauer has received a lot of recognition and is slated to be a top draft pick in 2016. Kent State recently hosted a Scout Day where about 50 professionals came out to see Lauer's abilities and take a look at some his teammates. The junior left-hander took some time to talk about his summer in the Cape, the Scout Day experience and handling the pressure.

Video Blog: Jeff Duncan previews the Diamond Classic for Kids and a key series vs. Akron to close the regular season
The Golden Flashes head coach previews Thursday night's Diamond Classic for Kids vs. Akron at Canal Park, and the weekend's chase for a Mid-American Conference championship. The Golden Flashes trail Central Michigan by one game in the league standings heading into the weekend series with the Zips that continues Friday and Saturday at the University of Akron.

Video Blog: Jeff Duncan previews this weekend's home series with Bowling Green and three days of pre-game celebrations
The Golden Flashes head coach takes a look at a big home series against Bowling Green coming up this weekend.
Kent State will host the Falcons on Friday at 6 pm, Saturday at 4 pm and Sunday at 1 pm. A graduation ceremony for players will be held prior to Saturday's game with Senior Day celebrations to follow during Sunday's pre-game.

Professional Player Update
The professional baseball season is now underway, and many former Flashes are back in action. Below is a current list of former Kent State players who are in the Minor Leagues, what team they are starting the season on, what level and what parent team:
John Fasola- Hickory Crawdads (Class A, Rangers)
Eric Dorsch- West Virginia Power (Class A, Pirates)
Brian Clark- Winston-Salem Dash (Class A-Advanced, White Sox)
George Roberts- Visalia Rawhide (Class A-Advanced, Diamondbacks)
Derek Toadvine- Tampa Yankees (Class A-Advanced, Yankees)
Taylor Williams- extended spring training (Brewers)
Tyler Skulina- Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Class A-Advanced, Cubs)
David Lyon- High Desert Mavericks (Class A-Advanced, Rangers)
Travis Shaw- Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A, Red Sox)
Anthony Gallas- Akron RubberDucks (Double-A, Indians)
Andrew Chafin made the Diamondbacks opening day roster and currently has a 0.00 ERA in two appearances, 5.1 innings, with one hit, no walks and three strikeouts.

Video Blog: Jeff Duncan on getting healthy, the improvement of young players, and big expectations for season's second half
The Golden Flashes head coach checked in with his first video blog of 2015 just before the team boarded the bus to DeKalb for a weekend series. Young players are coming on as some veterans are getting healthy, and that has Kent State in a good position at just about the halfway point of the season.
